4.3. Licensing Management Agent

4.3.1. Licensing using CLI

1. Please make sure that at least one Chelsio card is present in the system where

Management agent is installed. Also, the required drivers should be installed before

proceeding.

2. Now, run the following command:

[root@host]# chelsio_uwcli system createinfofile

The above command will generate an information file, chinfofile, in the current working directory.

3. This information file needs to be sent to Chelsio support, at support@chelsio.com, to receive

a license key.

4. The license key file that is received from Chelsio support needs to be installed on the

system running the management agent. Run the following command and provide

administrative(root) password when prompted:

[root@host]# chelsio_uwcli system SaveLicenseKey path=<path-to-key-

file>/chiscsi.key

The license key will now be installed. To view the licensing details, execute the following

command and provide administrative (root) password when prompted:

[root@host]# chelsio_uwcli system GetLicenseInfo

4.3.2. Licensing using Web GUI

1. Please make sure that at least one Chelsio card is present in the system where

Management agent is installed. Also, the required drivers should be installed before

proceeding.

2. Next, an information file needs to be generated which contains the details of the Chelsio

card to be licensed

by entering its IP. In the Licensing module, select a Chelsio card (T3 or T4) and click on

Download Information File.

3. This information file needs to be sent to Chelsio support, at support@chelsio.com, to receive

a license key.
